Specific Outcomes for the 2010 program
As participants of Summer Rock School 2010, children will -
- Perform in a rock / pop band in front of a medium / large size audience on at least one occasion.
- Be part of planning, preparing, promoting and presenting a ‘rock concert’.
- Write, record and perform own original compositions.
- Work towards a ‘polished performance’, to be able to record and take part in developing a summer ROCKSCHOOL documentary.
- Take part in sessions with visiting performers (eg. performances and question and answer time with young people already active in the music industry).
Music instructors
- There will be up to five music instructors facilitating the music workshops (depending on the numbers of enrolments for each workshop).
- Music Instructors will primarily be ‘industry professionals’ , trained to teach modern music to school aged children.
Transport
- We are very keen to ensure that children that wish to attend our workshops don’t miss out due to lack available transport. We are willing to assist in coordinating transport options for students.
- So, please let us know if you require assistance with transport.
- To assist with this, we are asking interested people to volunteer a seat or two in their car to help children to get to and from the Summer ROCK SCHOOL .
How much is SUMMER ROCKSCHOOL:
Fees (including ‘early bird’ discount options) –
Full price - $168.00 ($33.60 / day) – Last Day to enroll is - 28 / 12 / 09
1st Discount Option – 17.5% $138.00 – Must be paid by Wednesday of Week 9
2nd Discount Option – Over 10% $148.00 - Must be paid by Tuesday - 18 / 12 / 09
3rd Discount Option – 5% $159.00 – Must be paid by Thursday - 20/ 12/ 09
